In the short period of time it has been open, we hope A.J. Tackle has built up a solid reputation. We have formulated a concept which is slightly different to the normal tackle shop, in that we aim to cater for the smaller things the angler needs rather than the big costlier items.


Although we have a good range of poles and rods from major manufacturers at very competitve prices, it's the every day items such as hooks, floats and the thousand and one other accessories anglers seem to have that we specialise in and makes us slightly different. We have a vast range of floats and hooks from a variety of manufacturers which include all the latest patterns. There are all sorts of accessories for commercial carp venues, as well a vast array of feeders and lines.
Our bait is fresh and of good quality. We know if your baits good, people come back week after week. We also stock a good range of groundbait and pellets which cover most aspects you are likely to encounter.

We stock most of the major manufacturers including Maver, Drennan, Daiwa, Sensas, Van Den Eynde, Preston Innovations, Middy, Kamasan, Korum and a host of others.
We also stick to what we know best, so we only deal with the coarse side of things, so if it's sea bait or equipment you want, forget it!
We are anglers ourselves, so we know what is expected from us, we will give advice on anything we can help you with, whether it is gear you're looking at buying or information on a venue you're about to fish.
