August 2008
The weather has settled again but some low
tides have made it difficult to find the fish on occassions during the past
month. When the boats have managed to get out, the fishing has been good. There
are good numbers of bass and smoothhounds in the river and the bigger specimens
are starting to show. There are still Thornbacks about as well, so you don't
know what you are going to catch next! The Tope are still showing, but not
in any numbers. Saying that, there have been some good fish lost. So, lets
hope the weather improves and the summer fish show in numbers. The tope will be
bending a few rods soon hopefully!
