Introduction
Welcome to netmorefish.co.uk.
In the months to come, this page will
form part of the news and views from the angling world, but if we are new to
you, this may be your first visit to the site, so we thought we'd take a few
minutes to tell you about ourselves.
The idea for netmorefish was brought about by looking around the
internet for a useful guide to all things angling in our home region of
Yorkshire & Lincolnshire. What we found amongst the sites in existence, was
that there was no "one stop shop" that served our purpose. The sites we found
were either too specific, i.e. they belonged to a particular angling club, or
they were too general, i.e. they tried to cover everything on a national scale,
which meant that each region only had a small entry, detailing a few places to
fish and perhaps listing a few tackle shops
So here we are. We hope to eventually
show you every place to fish, list every tackle shop, provide tuition for
newcomers and provide as much information as we can about fishing associations,
events diaries, new products, the weather and even where to go on holiday !
We hope that this will be successful
enough to allow us to expand the region we cover in due course, so watch this
space !
The success of netmorefish will depend as much on the visitors to the
site, as the people behind the scenes who compile the information. You'll see
from our venues section that finding places to fish is simply a matter of
looking for coloured symbols on a map - 'Red fish' entries will have venue
names and telephone numbers only. 'Blue fish' entries will have dedicated pages
with photographs, maps and as much information as we can cram into the
available space. Inevitably there will be a lot more 'red fish' entries than
'blue fish' entries in the early days, but with your help we can hopefully
convert as many as possible. There are several hundred to go at, so please let
us know of any places to fish that aren't listed and we'll try and update the
database as often as possible. |
