Sea Report

In the boats, there has been plenty of fish to be had. The fish that where caught have been of many species and in some areas not very far out. Smoothhounds are plentyful in the Humber, with some pushing double figures along with Cod, Bass and rays. Several bags over 30lb have been reported this week,with lots of rays, cod, bass and smoothounds showing, so hopefully we will have some reports next week.

On the Yorkshire Coast the fishing has been excellent with whiting and a few smaller cod to 3lb showning,as well as odd flatfish, smoothounds and bass. The top bait was worm and squid or crab also took account for a good number of fish.
Mark at A&D Angling (01482 227171 closed Wednesdays and Sundays) and now A&D Hedon which was Hedon Bait and Tackle (01482 891479 open all week) is always up to speed on the information stakes.
The south of the Humber the fishing has been hit and miss off the North Wall, with good numbers of fish being caught in some areas, and none in others. Mainly flatties being caught although odd codling and whiting have shown.
On the Lincolnshire coast the  dogfish and flatties have been showing with anglers taking a few fish in a session when conditions are right. A few fish  are now being caught from the beach around Skegness.  
The best bet for consistently good bait is Mark at A&D Hedon formerly Hedon Angling Centre(01482 891479) and still has an excellent range of sea bait and mention you saw it here.
