Boat Report |
In the boats, there have been odd cod landed but flatfish and Smooth hounds have been the main quarry. One or two rays have now started showing as well as lots of Smoothhounds. The weather has been poor with strong winds this week.
Tony Burmans weekly report on the features page gives more
information and makes interesting reading.

Onshore Report |
On the Yorkshire Coast the fishing has been slow with only odd fish showing. More bass now being caught. The top bait was worm and squid or crab also took account for a good number of fish, especially bass. Mark at A&D Angling (01482 227171 closed Wednesdays and Sundays) and now A&D Hedon which
was Hedon Bait and Tackle (01482 891479 open all week) is always up to speed on the
information stakes. The south of the Humber the fishing has been hard, with small fish being the main quarry in most areas. East Halton is producing plenty of small fish. Humberstone Creek has fished well with a few fish being caught around the pound mark. Cleethorpes Promenade is also fishing better for flatties and odd bass and coalies. Lots of fish are in this area, it's a case of finding the bit bigger ones. On the Lincolnshire coast it has been hard with only odd small fish about, as well as some good Bass and Smooth hounds at Chapple. Fresh peeler is scoring well. The best bet for consistently good
bait is Mark at A&D Hedon formerly Hedon Angling Centre(01482
891479) and still has an excellent range of sea bait and
mention you saw it here.
If your on the south side ring Ron at
Sparkes Bros Grimsby who also has some excellent bait in at the moment,
but ring him to book some, it's going fast! (01472 342613). Seb at
Ultimate Angling is also stocking sea bait now. Give him a ring on 01472
823777 Will at
Pasture House Barton is also stocking some sea bait, live and frozen now. So if your in that area, give Will a ring on 01652
636369 or pop in.
If you've been out let us know how you got on
