Lincolneshire Sea Anglers – have your say on sea fishing issues.

Required by the 28th May 2010

APEM Aquatic Ecologist Dr Peter Walker with a Spurdog

A unique opportunity has arisen for sea anglers in Lincolnshire to provide their views on the current state of recreational sea angling and facilities for sea anglers (including access) on the Lincolnshire coast.
APEM Aquatic Scientists Ltd, on behalf of the Environment Agency, are currently conducting a review of access, facilities and use of the coast for recreational sea fishing. As part of this review we are looking for feedback from local sea anglers regarding their use of the coast for recreational sea angling between Skegness and Goxhill Haven, Skitter Beck (Grimsby).
It is often difficult for anglers to find routes via which they can communicate their concerns and express their views on potential improvements to sea angling directly to decision makers and regulators such as the Environment Agency. This is that route and this opportunity is not to be missed. If insufficient feedback is received it could lead to decision makers regarding the Lincolnshire coast as low priority in terms of areas to benefit from improvements and ultimately this could even lead to a decline in the quality of the sea fishing experience in this region as decision makers re-direct funds to other projects where greater levels of concern have been expressed.

We would be most grateful if you could take just a few minutes to download and complete the questionnaire at
